Monday, June 01, 2009

For Immediate Release

Norman, OK – Oklahoma Fourth District Congressman Tom Cole provided the following statement earlier today regarding Senator Coburn's decision to run for re-election in 2010.

“I applaud Dr. Coburn's decision to seek re-election to the United States Senate.  This is terrific news for Oklahoma and the country.  During his tenure in the House of Representatives, and continuing in his first term in the Senate, Tom Coburn has established himself as the preeminent leader in the efforts to restrain the growth of government and maintain adherence to the principles embodied in the U.S. Constitution.  I look forward to him leading the Republican ticket in 2010 and continuing to serve Oklahoma in the U.S. Senate.”
